Stephen
Stephen has been an enthusiastic club and borough runner for the last 40 years since joining Tower Hamlets AC at the age of 14.
A middle distance runner at heart, his best year was 1989 setting personal best times of 2.00.4 in the 800m and 4.23.3 in the 1500m.
After relocating to South West London, Stephen joined local running club Sheen Shufflers in 2003.
He managed to up his game at the age of 50, showing it’s never too late, by setting personal best times in the 5km (18.14), Half Marathon (1.25.21) and Marathon (3.15.28), but he now just runs for fun after some injury setbacks.
Stephen is keen to pass on his enthusiasm for running and the knowledge he has gained to help others realise their own personal goals.
Stephen is a UKA Event Group coach in both Endurance and Sprints but has a special interest in middle distance running.
